Zorro reported band conditions at XW1/XW1A were very poor and they had heavy QRM which was caused by local equipment. They were operating from Khaosan Pathet Lao, a news agency in Vientian, Laos. During the peak time on 20 meters to the US many stations were well below the noise. He plans to go back to Laos in the future and operate from a different site, one with less noise. Kevin, VK9NX, will be active from Norfolk Island starting July 26th for about two weeks. He will be celebrating his 60th birthday and will be active on 40, 80 and 160 meters. QSL via VK4FW.
