Jari, OH2BU/OH7RF, reports that he spoke to the Malyj Vysotskij operators on June 4th as they were in the harbor of Vyborg which is about 15 kilometers away. The MVI team received their 6 meter license just in the nick of time on June 3rd. They should be on the air sometime after 12:00Z today. One station will be set up initially and the rest will be set up as soon as all the equipment is unloaded and set up. Don't be surprised to see two or three stations on the same band at the same time. Look for 6 meter activity to start on Friday, June 6th. Plans are to have 4 complete HF stations and one 6 meter station. ET3BN - Ethiopia - Came up on 18077 just after 18:00Z. He was not very strong but workable from the east coast of North America. HS1NGR - Thailand - Chai was on 14195 for about two hours starting around 14:30Z. Most of his time was spent working North America. OJ0 - Market Reef - The Germans who are here until June 7th said they may be on 30 meters today. VR2KF - Hong Kong - With less than 30 days until the United Kingdom turns this territory over to the Chinese you might want to work it.
