He recently returned back from Tibet doing the same thing there and tried to get a licence in BY but did not have any luck. Murray should be in Nepal for a few more weeks and has worked several hundred stations. Some of his operating was from the QTH of Rich, 9N1RHM, and some from his own place. His station antenna consists of a multiband wire. He is only able to get on 20 and 40 meters due to the type of licence he has. Harry, RA3AUU, reports that Ed Kritsky, NT2X, was in St. Petersburg for several days signing RV7AA and is now in Volgograd will be in Moscow next. The Russian RV7 prefix is issued only to foreigners and may be used anywhere in Russia without notifying the local PTT. Rob, YU4WU, located in Banja Luka, Bosnia-Herzegovina was on the lower end of 20 meters CW on Monday around 23:00Z with a very big signal for several hours. When asked why he was using the YU4 prefix and not the T9 prefix he stated he is having some trouble with the local authorities so he is using his YU4 prefix in accordance with Sarajevo agreements. He said QSL via YU bureau until everything settles down and he gets his T9 call. He also confirmed that he was in the "Serb entity". Rob, ND3A, reports that he is having problems getting on the air from Bissau, Guinea Bissau, as Dave, J52IM, is unavailable at the moment. Jim Smith, VK9NS, says that Mani, VU2JPS, who is located in the Andamans was on twice last week and he has not been on this week. Jim has suggested to Mani to try 14215 when he is not at work. Mani has sent his paper work for DXCC to Jim who has been a busy but will forward it in to the ARRL in the next few days. ----------------------------------------------------------------- QSN ----------------------------------------------------------------- 5A1A - Libya - Abubaker has been very active recently. Monday he started on 14255 between 10:00 and 13:00Z. Later he was found on 21270 between 18:00 and 19:00Z. 5Z4LL - Kenya - Christine (YL) was found on 18145 between 15:00 and 15:30Z and was working Europe. 9M2AX West Malaysia - Ross was booming into the east coast of North America on 18072 between 14:00 and 15:00Z. The Europeans and JA's were also hearing him. CE8ABF - Chile - Alex can be found often near 1840 after 02:00Z. A41LZ - Oman - Murthada was on 18140 from 19:15 to 20:45Z. He was working all across North America and Europe with a fantastic signal. Next week he plans to be active on CW. EP2MKP - Iran - Ali was on 7002 from 20:30 to 21:00Z. HB0/DA1WA - Liechtenstein - Showed up on 1831 just before 22:00Z and was working Europe. He has also been active on 20, 40 and 80 meters CW. HZ1CCA - Saudi Arabia - Was on 18135 from 18:40 to 19:30Z working Europe. OH0LIZ - Aland - Was on 1830 working Europe at 21:45Z. OJ0 - Market Reef - DL5IO, DL6GV and DL1IAN are currently active.
