He was working all across the US, however he was not very strong into the east coast. He stuck around until just about 09:00Z. The best time for east coast US stations was 01:20 until about 02:30Z. ZL9, Auckland & Campbell Islands, was the 19th most wanted country in the 1996 ARRL DXCC Yearbook, which just came out. Last years ZL8RI team is planning a 1 week trip to ZL7, Chatham Island, in October to include the CQ WW SSB contest. For those looking to work DXCC-YL, ZL2GI will be tagging along with her husband Ron, ZL2TT and the rest of the gang. Gerban, PA0GAM, reports the QSLs sent direct for VK9GA from May 1996 have just been mailed. Bureau QSLs will be sent out this week. Normally Geert, PA0GIN, handles the QSL chores for Gerban, however Gerban wanted to handle them himself this time. ----------------------------------------------------------------- QSN ----------------------------------------------------------------- 3DA0CA - Swaziland - Jon can be found very often around 3507 from 03:30 to 04:15Z. QSL via W4DR. 3W5FM - Vietnam - Nick showed up yesterday just before 11:30Z on 7005, working Japan and east coast US stations. Just after 14:00Z he was found working west coast US stations on 10101. Between 15:30 and 17:30 he was working Europe on 14009. Nick can be found most days between 13:00 to 16:00 on or around 14009. QSL via SM0AGP. 9V1WW - Singapore - James can usually be found between 14005 and 14015 after 13:00Z. BV9AYA - Taiwan - This station is operating from the island of Penghu (IOTA AS103). Activity has been on 80, 40, 20 and 17 meters SSB and CW. QSL via BV2KI. C21 - Nauru - C21TT and C21DJ were both on 14260 around 13:00Z. C6ANI - Bahamas - Rick was on 1840 today around 04:00Z working Europe and US stations. ET3SID - Ethiopia - Was on 14082 working Europe and east coast US stations on RTTY from 12:30 to 13:30Z. Afterwards he went to SSB on 14284. FK8GJ - New Caledonia - Marc was on 10100 working Europe at 06:15. HB5CC - Switzerland - This station was on 14199 after 15:00Z celebrating 50 years of USKA. QSL via HB9BCK. K9AW/KH2 - Guam - Gary can be found most days working Europe on or about 18071. If the 12 meter band is open Gary will QSY. Gary will be leaving Guam soon. PT7BZ - Brazil - Elio has been all over 160 meters SSB the last few nights working US and western Europe. Try 1840-1850 between 04:00 and 05:00Z. R1ANF - South Shetlands - Oleg was on 10103 between 01:00 and 02:00Z working all across the US. Then at 03:00 he was found on 40 meters CW. QSL via RK1PWA. S21/PA3BTQ - Bangladesh - John was on 14130 working Europe between 14:00 and 14:20Z. He does have pactor.
