Toshi, JA1ELY, reports that well known Aki, JD1AMA, from Ogasawara Islands will be going QRT at the end of March. He has been transferred to Tokyo for about two years. His mail may still be sent to: Akihiko Miyazaki, P.O. Box 602, Chichijima, Ogasawara Is, 100-21 Japan. This will be forwarded to his Tokyo QTH. ----------------------------------------------------------------- QSN ----------------------------------------------------------------- 3B8/DL6UAA - Mauritius - Mart only showed up on 7002 yesterday between 19:00 and 22:30Z, mostly working Europeans. He seems to be active only on 30 and 40 meters. QSL via DL6UAA. 3XY3A - Guinea - Philippe, F5IEV, was on 21237 between 17:20 and 18:30 working Europe and South America. QSL via F5IEV. 5A1A - Libya - This is the second day in a row that Abubaker was on 21225. Yesterday he was there from 18:45 to 19:00Z, then he moved to 7042. He said to QSL to PO Box 74421, Tripoli, Libya. However many have had good luck via SM0OFG. 9M6TPR - Spratlys - Started on 14026 around 09:40Z. Then went to 7003 from 10:30 to 11:30Z. They were on 3511 around 12:00Z working Japan and west coast US. After that they went to 7005. Then one more time to 3506 around 13:20Z. Just before 14:00Z they showed up on 14027, where they worked some east coast US along with the rest of the US and Europe. Conditions were not very good again and are not expected to get better before they leave. QSL via KQ1F. 9M8FC - East Malaysia - Likes to operate on 30 meters CW and can usually be found between 14:00 and 16:00Z. A92GD - Bahrain - Bob made another appearance on 10140 today, this time at 21:30Z. This is the only frequency A9 stations are permitted to operate on in the 30 meter band. Today there was heavy QRN on frequency however he did work some east coast US stations. QSL via K1SE. AP2HA - Pakistan - Hasnat can be found often below 14010 sending QRS between 13:30 and 15:30Z. C56/DK3FW - The Gambia - Dieter showed up on 160 meters at 00:40Z and then again around 04:00Z on 1832 and 1834. He had an OK signal however QRN made it difficult for east coast US stations to copy. Later in the day he showed up on 15, 17 and 20 meters CW. QSL via DK3FW. EM1HO - Antarctica - Was on 3795 around 03:15Z and on 1840 at 06:40 working South America. QSL via I2PJA. HF0POL - South Shetlands - Showed up on 1840 at 06:40Z with EM1HO and worked South America. QSL via SP3FYM IS0/DK7ZB - Sardinia - Was on 1832 from 20:20 to 21:30Z. KP3/K8CC - Puerto Rico - Dave who is getting ready for the WPX contest had a huge pileup of Europeans on 160 meters CW from 03:00 to 03:45Z. Dave will be at the multi-multi WP3X this weekend. T22MS - Tuvalu - Bernhard was on 14197 from 08 to 10Z easily working Europe. QSL via DL2GAC. YJ8AA - Vanuatu - Frank showed up on 14202 between 03:00 and 03:30Z working east coast and mid west US stations. ZS8IR - Prince Edward and Marion Island - Chris showed up at 03:18 Z on 18:22Z. Not many were hearing him. Conditions seem to be favoring mid west and western US stations. This will be a new IOTA number. John, WD8MGQ, says VK5ISL will be on from March 26th to March 31st. This operation will be the first operation from South Australia State West Group, IOTA OC220. QSL via I1HYW. John also reports that Pedro, HK3JJH, will be going with the Columbian Navy to San Andreas Island NA033 and will be there on March 30th. He will then be QRV from Serrana Bank NA133 starting either March 31 or April 1 with the operation lasting approximately 8 to 12 hrs. The next day he will be QRV from Foncador Cays NA133 again for approximately 8 to 12 hrs, and then the day after that he will be QRV from Serranilla Bank Cay NA132 for another 8 to 12 hrs. QSL to his home call and Pedro asks that you please "do not" send IRC's, as he has problems redeeming them.
