They will be active on both CW and SSB. The group will also be operating in the CQ WPX SSB Contest. Look for them on the usual DX frequencies. The group includes EA2JG, EA3CB, EA3CZM, EA3GBU, EA4TX, S01A. Other operators may include EA1DAV, EA2CNU and EA4AFA. Frank, WA2VUY reports that 3W5FM will be on 1.826 @ 1100 Z 3/17/97. ZS8IR, Chris showed up on 160 meters, 1822 at 0336 Z. Then at 03:55 Z he came up on 3.515. He worked one station on his frequency and then started working stations up 5. Pedro will be on 20 meters only, for approximately 24 to 30 hrs. HK3JLN may go with Pedro, and if he does he will do some 40m work. The callsigns will be HK3JJH/2 and possibly HK3JLN/2 if he goes along. QSL via HK3JJH callbook address. Pedro says no IRC's as he cannot redeem them. Pedro also said that he is awaiting word from the Navy on when they will take him to NA132 & NA133, but nothing definite at this time! Omar says to QSL via TA7A. 4S7BRG - from 12-19 Z on 17 meter SSB 4S7EA - Ernest can be found very often around 3.799 between 23 and 01 Z working Europe, Asia and a few East Coast USA stations. 5R8FK - Ray, ex 7P8SR, JY9SR, etc., can be found daily on 40 meters between 7.010 and 7.020 from 23 to 03 Z. 5X1T - Peter, ON6TT, of VK0IR fame is back in Uganda and was very active yesterday (3/16) on both 20 and 17 meters SSB from 17 to 21 Z. 8Q7BE and 8Q7BV - have both been very active on CW. 30 meters @ 12 Z and 19 Z. 20 meters 20-22 Z and at 12 Z. 17 meters at 13 z. 9G5VJ - was not on today (3/16) however he has been very busy on all bands except 160. Andy, G4ZVJ is supposed to be active from Ghana until 3/18. 9X4WW - Mark is only able to get on 14.118 and 1.8275. Best times on 160 seem to be 22 z for JA, 3 Z for USA and whenever the sun is down for Europe. Mark might be leaving sometime in April. A61AN - Naser was very active today (3/16) on 20 meter SSB between 15 and 18 Z. He was hanging around 14.219-14.222 working Stateside and Europe. C56/DK3FW - Dieter has been very active on the CW low ends of 40 & 80 meters. He does have 160 meters as Jack, VE1ZZ reports working him with 30 watts! EK6GC - Bob has been very active on 160, 80, 40, 30 and 20 meter CW in the last month or more. Many East coast US stations are reporting receiving QSLs from Bob in the last 20 days. EM1HO - Paul, UX2HO, has been very active from the Ukraine Antarctica Base of Vernadsky. Paul has been active on both CW and SSB. ET3BT - Starts out at 19 Z on 7.045. He also listens up for stateside around 22 Z. He has also been showing up the last few days around 22 - 00 Z between 3.795 and 3.800. FR5DT/J and FR5KH/J - both were on 14.133 today working Europeans between 18 and 20 Z. QSL for FR5DT/J via F6FNU. HS9AL - Well, what can we say except very active on both 14.260 and 21.260. This is an IOTA DXpedition to AS126. QSL via I4LCK. JY9QJ - George was very active today on 14.004 from 17 to 18 Z. George will be in Amman for several more years. He is active on 10 - 160 meters, including WARC bands. He likes both CW and SSB. QSL via DL5MBY. R1ANF - This is an Antarctic callsign, however Oleg is actually on King George Island, which is really located in the South Shetlands (VP8). He is operating at the old 4K1F site. QSL via RK1PWA TR8BAR - likes to run CW from 40 to 30 and then to 20 meters a lot. He starts around 05:30 Z. VQ9QM - Dale, W4QM, was very active both Saturday and Sunday on 17 meter CW. He also showed up for a few minutes on 160 around 23 Z on 1.827. ZS8IR - Chris showed up on 80 meter CW, 3.515, around 03:30 Z on Saturday. Chris should be active until June or July.
